We sent our son interstate to learn at Cheder Levi Yitzchok. This was not easy for us, but we are so happy we did it. He has absolutely thrived in the chassidisher, warm environment of the Cheder. His teachers are attentive, relatable and extremely devoted. The Shluchim have had a huge impact on him and brought incredible chayus to his learning and his general confidence. We have watched him develop a renewed enthusiasm for learning, mivtzoim and chassidishkeit, as well as a clear identity as a Chabad Chossid. Much of this is thanks to the Cheder.  It is a great comfort to know that he is in such good hands.

We are so grateful to the dedicated and passionate teachers in Cheder who go above and beyond to ensure the best education for our children. We see the care they show and their willingness to make the environment around them as conducive as possible for the best learning outcomes for our children.

In our experience, not every child fits the mould that certain schools set out for them, and sometimes external situations just don’t accommodate the child and they need a new environment. One of our close friends suggested that we try the Cheder and we gave it a go. Our son who had been struggling - flourished.

At a parent meeting, Rabbi Rahmani summed up what I love about the school. He explained: “We’re a very unconventional school and we celebrate that because it’s what makes us able to cater to all of our students’ unique needs”.

In the broader sense, the school is a collective experience with unique layers that not only encompass the school and students but also the parents and our community. The school builds this through a commitment to Yiddishkeit and the Horaos (instructions) of the Rebbe.  If you walk into the school, you are surrounded with paintings and images of the Rebbeim - an immersive experience. The Cheder staff are continuously thinking out of the box to create fun and new ways to engage the students as well as the families. Whether it be through events run by the school, planning activities, ideas, trips, games, mivtzoim, culinary experiences, sporting activities and more - the aim is to cultivate interest and dedication from the students as well as their families because they are included as a part of something larger. There is a beauty in this message and it really hits home.

Kids soak up their surroundings and they are shaped by experience. The Rebbe is very careful about what we expose our children to. He also encouraged us to be shluchim and to spread the light and Torah of Chassidus. We shouldn’t settle for anything less than what is healthy for our children – for their minds and their souls. There is no way that we can do that from a depleted or constrained space. How lucky are we to have the Cheder, a space and a place that imbues our children with holistic experiences, connection to their source and fills them with so much light that it just spills over wherever they go.

…I have a teenager and a tiny teenager (six years old). My little one refers to his three best friends: A classmate, Rabbi Heidingsfeld (his teacher) and Rabbi Rahmani (his principal).

Tes Shvat, 5780

To Reb Eliezer, Rabbi Rachmani and the Cheder staff,

We’d like to take this opportunity, just before Schneur Chaim leaves for Toronto mesivta, to thank you for all that you have done for his chinuch. We are eternally grateful for the chassidis he values that have deeply impacted him in Cheder. His teachers throughout the years and Hanhola have all contributed to his love of learning and his willingness to change and grow. We don’t take this for granted at all, and it would be fair to say that his desire to take his education to the next level would not have been possible without his warm and solid Cheder education. We look forward to filling you all in on his progress overseas, and we will always see Cheder as the building blocks with which Schneur Chaim will Be’H continue to grow and soar to greater heights as a chossid of the Rebbe and a true mentch.

May you continue to reap much nachas from all the Talmidim, and may Moshiach arrive even before Yud Shvat, when you will merit to say ‘reu gedulim shegidalti’!

With sincere gratitude,

 Yehuda and Chaya Hoch

We cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for Shneur throughout the years. We are so fortunate that he was given the best care from the day he joined Cheder. Every single teacher and staff member who worked with him gave him their all, and touched us with their care, compassion, expertise, and dedication. We are blown away.  We are incredibly grateful for his time at the Cheder. This year was an extra gift, and Rabbi Guth and the Cheder team have really gone above and beyond in catering to his individual needs! The words 'Thank you' do not suffice. May Hashem bless you and the Cheder to go from strength to strength, with much Hatzlacha and harchava on all areas.

All the best

Kinus HaShluchim, Rosh Chodesh Kislev, 5781

My son Michoel was so impressed with the way everything was set up so beautifully today. That alone made a big impression on him, besides both boys thoroughly enjoying both events.

Even though Michoel has only just joined Cheder, his Chayus in learning and yiddishkeit has Baruch Hashem really increased. We are so grateful to all involved in these events and all the running and teaching of Cheder Levi Yitzchok. May you go from strength to strength until we greet Moshiach together, bekorev mamash.
